Vintage 1960's Lilli Ann Paisley Full Length Coat

Truly a statement maker with the unmistakable style of the 1960's! This coat is made of a wonderful paisley material with the primary colors being comprised of brick red, black and warm brown. I believe the material to be some type of wool knit, but I am not for sure as there is no label to indicate that this is true. The lines of the coat are tailored and the sleeves, collar and pockets are trimmed with a light tan material. There are three stylish buttons at the front of the coat with nicely finished buttonholes. The faux pockets on each side of the front of the coat are detailed with the same buttons, which resemble faux bakelite. The coat is fully lined with a light "peachy" brown rayon lining. Top this swinging coat off with a mod hat and a pair of black patent leather knee high boots and you will look like you are stepping right out of the sixties!! A great coat in every way!

One more note of interest about the Lilli Ann Company.....founded in 1933 by Adolph Schumann and named for his wife, Lillian, the company was particularly known for It's quality suits and coats. After WWII, many of the fabrics which were used in these striking fashions were purchased in France and by doing so, Mr. Schumann helped to save many small fabric makers in post war France! During the 1960's the company had a "London" line of fashions and I'm betting that this coat was from that line. Lilli Ann closed in the year 2000.

CONDITION: Excellent- The only thing that I can find in the way of issues is that there are a few small pin holes along the front light tan trim---and on the underside of the back of the collar. These do not detract from this garment at all. This is one reason I believe this is a wool knit because these small holes appear to be moth holes. Lining is very clean with no signs of perspiration or wear to the interior.

SIZE: No size label but I am guessing it to be size 6-8
