This is a one-of-a-kind statement piece for someone who loves art jewelry. It is a large, hand-forged and fold-formed, solid copper bib pendant.
Native American designs have been added to each of the various segments of the pendant.
The entire pendant has had a patina added to it to highlight the designs.
Fold-forming is a fairly rare type of metal “moving”, which I happen to enjoy immensely. I especially enjoy working in copper because of the beautiful colors you can obtain in the metal. I find it very satisfying and the beautiful results are true pieces of art jewelry.
The entire pendant is 4 3/4” long by 4 ¾” wide at the widest point. The necklace is 18 inches long, not counting the drop of the pendant.
I hand-forged the chain from black annealed steel, including the clasp. A black steel Tisa maker’s mark is included.
To complete the piece, I applied a finish wax that is used in important museums all over the world to protect their most valuable pieces. This should protect the copper from tarnishing, as long as you do not rub the finish off or wash it off with soap and water.
Your necklace will be carefully and safely packaged and shipped to you in a lovely gift box, complete with gold ribbon.
Thank you for taking time to look at my shop and this necklace. Please come back and visit soon. I am adding new items almost every day.
