SILVER-FILLED SQUIGGLE EARRINGS – Fun Silver-filled designs. Argentium silver earwires.

These are fun earrings. I made the lower design of 1/10 silver-filled metal, but hung the designs on non-tarnishing Argentium silver ear wires. The new silver-filled metal is 100 times thicker than silver-plate but is quite inexpensive these days, compared to sterling or fine silver, so it is a great compromise.

The lower part of the earrings are right at 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. They were inspired by Alexander Caldwell's designs. Caldwell has become one of my jewelry heroes because of his over-the-top, yet simple, designs. I believe he would definitely approve my using the new lower-cost metals because he was all about taking metals like copper or brass and turning them into something wonderful.
