Open Salts Large Chantilly Gorham Foliate Scroll Shell Sterling 1916

These wonderful foliate, scroll and shell design salts are very close to the Chantilly Grand pattern and would go well with any similar design.

The oval bodies have repousse shell. scroll and shell decorations and double sided scroll rims and sit on 4 scroll feet. One of the cartouches contains a family crest with a spread winged eagle atop three shields. There is light wear to the crests.

Each lovely dish is 4" long, 3 1/8" wide and the pair weigh a substantial 193 grams or 6.2 ozs. troy.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.

The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
