American Coin Silver Calling Card Case with overall engraved decorations of grapevines on a trellis on both sides of the case by Leonard & Wilson of Philadelphia, c1847 - 1850

There are two central reserves, one inscribed Ann H. Wood, the other has hatch work engraving.

This very attractive case is 3 1/2" tall, 2 1/2" wide , 3/8" thick and weighs 47 grams or 1.5 ozs. Troy. The hinge is clean and tight and the lid closes properly.

Inscribed as described above, the excellent original condition (a couple of minor edge dents) and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.

The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing
