Continental European Gravy Ladle with an elongated bowl having double spouts and stipple work engraving on its back. The handle has matching engraving surrounding a blank reserve, c.1750.
This scarce and elegant ladle is 7 3/8" long, the bowl is 3 1/8" - 1 7/8" and the ladle weighs 33 grams.
It has maker's Marks SA stamped twice on the back of the handle as pictured and is likely northern German or Scandinavian in origin.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering, The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
