Danish Silver Creamer 1832 Copenhagen No Monograms

Danish 830 Silver Creamer made in Copenhagen in 1832 and assayed by Christian Olsen Moller. The maker's mark is IM.

This lovely creamer has a band of shell and foliate decorations on its oval, bellied body and sits on a stepped, collared circular base having a wide band of foliate drapery. The wide strap handle has a band of applied feathered decoration .The gilt interior is clean.

This lovely creamer is 5 3/4 "tall, 5 1/2" from spout to handle, 4 1/8' - 3 1/4" in diameter and weighs 156 grams or 5 ozs. Troy.

The creamer is marked on the body under the base, on the handle and on the outer edge of the base. The handle and body bear the town mark, the assay mark, the maker's mark and the Zodiac mark for February, all well struck. The base lacks the Zodiac mark and, as would be expected, those marks along the outer edge show wear.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
