Norwegian WW2 Victory Spoon Thomas Marthinsen 1945 830 Standard Silver

830 standard silver small serving spoon by Thomas Marthinsen of Tonsberg Norway, 1945.

These spoons were designed to celebrate the end of German occupation showing a standing male figure with upraised arms holding a quatrefoil sun enclosing a crown. The broken chain along the bottom edge of the handle and upper edge of the bowl symbolizes the end of the war.

The bowl is embossed: Norge 1945 in the center and: Brutt Bled Lenker Band Og Tvang.

Weighing 29 grams, this interesting and collectible spoon is 4 3/4 " long, having a bowl 1 7/8" in diameter.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive
