American sterling silver pocket box with engine turned decoration, Spaulding Gorham, c.1940s.

This handsome box with hidden release button is 3" long, 2 1/4" wide, 5/8" deep and weighs 96 grams or 3.1 ozs Troy.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. Rectangular Cartouche has a barely noticeable monogram removal.
