French 950 sterling silver tastevin with snake handles, partial maker's mark S over P in a hexagonal lozenge, c.1770 - 1780. This special antique Tastevin has a snake handle and is 3 1/4" in diameter, 4 1/4" across the ring handle, 7/8" deep, weighing 91 grams or 2.9 ozs. Troy.

The outer rim has a worn, period monogram T L T.

Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
