Arts and Crafts Porter Blanchard Letter Opener Stamp Case Hand Made Sterling Silver 1935 No Monograms

American sterling silver hand made Arts and Crafts letter opener stamp case by Porter Blanchard of Calabasas California, c.1935. He likely made more than one, although this is the first we have seen.

This most unusual wide bladed letter opener has a handle with a removable cover, functioning as a stamp case.

Weighing 121 grams or 3.9 ozs. Troy, this special opener is 9 5/8" long, with a blade 1" wide and the stamp case handle being 4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1/4" thick.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
