German 800 Silver Asparagus Server in an Art Nouveau Lily pattern, made by P. Oediger of Krefeld Germany, c.1890 - 1910.
This elegant, large, heavy server has a wide, cut work, gilt blade with engraved decorations that match the Lily double struck Art Nouveau pattern on the handle.
This useful and elegant server is 9 1/4" long, 4" wide (blade) and weighs 141 grams or 4.5 ozs. Troy.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. Monogrammed on the front of the blade, in ornate, period script MM, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
