American sterling silver open round salts having their original, fitted blue cobalt glass inserts, by The Webster Company. c.1940.
Three paw and scroll feet support circular bodies having tapered collared, scalloped rims with an applied border.The edges are alternating straight and scalloped, divided by half round indents.
Each of these attractive salts are 2 1/4" in diameter, 1 1/2" tall, 1 1/2" in diameter and the silver weight of the pair is 49 grams or 1.6 ozs. Troy.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
The glass inserts are chip and crack free and fit well.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing
