Antique Christening Gown slip HM34
This exquisite piece is an authentic Victorian era Christening gown slip. It is fashioned of a very light weight cotton and is white in color. The slip has a large circular skirt bottom that is trimmed in machine stitched pin tucks. Condition is good to very good. There is a small hole in the seam of the bodice and skirt that can easily be tacked together again, and there is a rip in the center back. Also the gown has some yellow stains on the front skirting. The gown measures 26 1/2"L, shoulder to shoulder measures 8 1/4"W.
