Antique waistcoat from the mid 19th century. This is a Hungarian vest fashioned of wool. It is entirely hand sewn. It is trimmed with embroidery, metallic braid and has a front hook and eye closure with large hook and eyes. There are 15 buttons adorning the front of this waistcoat. They are magnificent. The inside is lined with a heavy linen and the back of the vest is lined with an even heavier cotton homespun. There is 1 pocket on the inside.

Size: Armpit to armpit across the front of the waistcoat measures 18". Back neckline to hemline measures 18".
