Asian Chinese Painting of Lady on Rice Paper Mid 1800s
The frame is 6 1/4" wide and 9" long. The figure is 5" tall. The back of the frame has a label reading A. Miller Picture Frames Inc., 401 Madison Ave., New York. It looks like the picture was framed in the early 1900s.
There is a hole in the painting on the lower part of the robe and continues onto the rice paper. It is about 1/2" in size. There is foxing on the background.
I have a second picture of a young man that I have listed separately as someone might only want one picture, or they could purchase the two. Both figures look like royalty. I am showing a picture of the two together so you can see how these were a pair
