Unique Folk Art Gameboard Checkerboard In Old Paint

This unique old gameboard was found in Virginia; it features names and numbers at either end in shadowed red paint with light green accents. The galleries and squares are in old mustard and brown paint and the game board has a wooden frame in black paint. On the back, painted in solid mustard, are two sets of numbers: 1/8/32 and 20/2/33; I do not know to what they refer but originally thought they might be dates although the 20 in the second set belies that theory. The gameboard is 28 3/4 by 18 1/2 inches. It shows a good deal of wear with scratches, staining, and scuffs to the paint; one end of the frame has pulled away from the board showing a couple of the small nails used in its construction. There are also a couple of paint splatters on the face of the checkerboard. I have pictured all facets of the board. It makes a stunning display and its unique nature makes it a real stand out - a true great find!
