This charming, diminutive, child's cup is an early example of pearlware, probably from the Staffordshire area of England. It has one transfer of children playing Blind Man's Bluff; the cups with one transfer were the first produced, and later cups had more than one transfer. The cup is 2 1/4 inches tall and has an applied handle but no maker's mark. There is some wear around the top rim and underneath, around the bottom edge. The transfer and overglaze are light blue. It's an adorable, antique piece and would make an excellent addition to a collection.
