Art Nouveau Sterling Chatelaine Match Safe
This is a lovely piece marked 925 and RF with two squares beside the initials (I can't tell if there are identifying marks in the squares). The sterling match safe has scrolls of flowers and vines with a woman's face in a flower on both sides. There is a link on one side which makes me believe it was for a chatelaine; measuring 2 inches by 1 3/8 inches, it would have been a large collection. The match safe has a shallow ding on one side and needs a good cleaning. It is beautiful, ornately decorated, and would be an excellent addition to a collection.
