Offered is this beautiful vitrified glass vase made by English glass powerhouse of that era, Richardson, a contemporary of Thomas Webb & Sons. The vase is transfer-decorated with classical themes. The vase is 11 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/4 inches wide at its widest. It is in excellent condition. Polished pontil. Though unsigned, in all likelihood, it was made by Richardson - refer to page 101 of Charles Hajdamach's book, 'British Glass 1800-1914', for similar classical-motif themes from Richardson's design book - shown in last picture here for your convenience).
