Offered is this exceptionally beautiful, hand-enameled in ruby flashing, glass pokal or covered jar. The jar is 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 4 1/4 inches (10,5 cm) wide and is in excellent condition. It has a 32-point star-cut base. There are a number of raised glass cabochons surrounding the body of the pokal. It fluoresces a gentle-green when subjected to long-wavelength black-light, typical of 19th century glass articles. Unsigned. Based on decor, the meticulous details on the veining on the leaves, the quality of the flashing, most likely, it was made by Karl Pfohl in Bohemia(please see last three reference pictures for a somewhat-similar Pfohl pokal).
