C:1890 Mt Washington Rainbow satin glass Brides basket

Offered is this beautiful and rare Mt Washington rainbow satin glass bride's basket. The bowl is 11 inches wide and 4 inches high. The quadruple-plated silver stand is 13 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches tall. Both are in very good condition (there is some oxidation at one place of the stand - see last picture). The pinwheel-arrangement of the rainbow colors include blue, yellow, pink and white. There is a clear rigaree on the bowl's rim. Polished pontil. Very rarely were rainbow satin glass items signed. A rainbow satin bride's basket is shown on page 189 of John A. Shuman's book, 'The collector's encyclopedia of American Art Glass second edition' (see last two pictures - included here for your convenience).
