This is a gorgeous pair of matching 14 karat rose and yellow gold bracelets, made in the Etruscan Revival style in the 1880s. The band on each of these identical bracelets is made of rose gold. The ends are tipped with yellow gold points and cross over each other, wrapped together with a band of yellow gold which is set with 3 pearls and two cabochon persian turquoise gems. All of the yellow gold pieces are decorated with beautifully intricate wire work.
These bracelets are quite dainty, made for a 6" wrist. Inside diameter is 2 1/16 " x 1 3/4" .Their combined weight is 17.5 grams. I have talked to my jeweler and they could be made larger in much the same way they size up a ring. They are in perfect condition and come in their original box. It was the fashion at the time to wear one on each wrist. However, to find a matching pair in their original box is a true rarity. Most pairs like this have been split up over time, usually due to inheritance , where one was given to each sister.
