This is a set of 3 shimmering articulated figural fish bottle openers, made in the 1950s. They are each encrusted with lovely abalone scales on a copper body with sterling silver trim. Their articulated bodies allow them to bend in a very realistic fish-like manner and the abalone is in very good shape, although there is a scale missing on one fish. Their faces, with their large eyes and protruding bottle-opener bottom lips, have a lot of personality.
These fish (largest to smallest) measure (8" x 1 1/2" x 3"), (7 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 3"), and (6" x 1 1/8" x 2 1/8"). The smallest one has a ring attached to its top lip.
