This is a pretty little sterling silver master butter knife, made in Birmingham by William Davenport in 1897. Both the blade and the terminal feature a scalloped edge and some lovely brite-cut work depicting fern leaves and other repetitive patterns. It also has a twisted handle.
This knife measures 6 1/4" x 3/4". It weighs 23 grams, or 0.15 Troy ounces. It is in excellent condition and has no monograms.
