George Jensen Sterling Silver Oval Brooch circa 1930

This Jensen brooch was made in Denmark. It is a stunning and very unusual example of Georg Jensen's work. He is well known for his Art Nouveau designs, but examples of his Art Deco designs are hard to find. It is oval in format with leaf like encasement with tendril like diagonal grid. The brooch was designed by Georg Jensen in the 1930's. The inside is stamped with the mark used in the 1930's in Denmark. It is marked Sterling and numbered 288A. It is a delicate piece being just 1 1/4" x 5/8" and it weighs 4.5 grams
