Unger Brothers Sterling Silver Wagon Wheel Belt Buckle

This Unger Brothers Belt Buckle is intertwined with flowing lines wheels, sea horses and winged like forms. There are wagon wheels in the four corners. It is a strange and wonderful design with a Egyptian Revival overtones It is a two tined buckle. The detail is crisp. It weighs 39 grams or 1.3 troy oz. It is 2 1/2" x 2". The bottom is inscribed Sterling with the Unger Brothers hallmark. The Unger Bros. were one of the most creative and premier manufacturers of Art Nouveau sterling silver items in the United States.
