A Pair of John Polhamus "Princess" Pattern Sterling Silver Two Tine Forks

This is a lovely American Early Sterling Silver Olive Fork or Seafood Fork in the Princess pattern by John Polhamus. It was designed and Patented # 7585 in July 21.1874. The forks are brite cut with a sweet floral design and have only two tines., Both forks weight 53 grams or 1.7 ozs. troy. Each fork is 6 1/8" long and 3/4" wide Although later produced by George W. Shiebler, this is an early Polhamus piece. These are in excellent condition with clear crisp detail. The back is marked JP Patent 74 and Sterling.
