English Sterling Silver Fiddle Pattern Sugar Tongs circa 1890

Presented is a pair of English sterling silver sugar tongs made in London. These tongs are in the Fiddle Pattern, a classic English Pattern. They bear the English lion passant mark for sterling silver. The makers mark GMJ for George Maudlsley Jackson aka Josiah William & Co. He was from Bristol and registered in 1883. The date mark is an O for 1889. The tongs have a monogram of a M on the end. They are 4 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide. They weight 19 grams. They are in excellent condition, with the marks very clear. An exceptional set of English Sugar Tongs.

I also a set of five teaspoons by the same maker if you want a more complete grouping.
