"Strasbourg" Sterling Silver Salad Set by Gorham 1897

This is a elegant sterling silver salad set in the "Strasbourg" pattern by Gorham. The set consists of a serving spoon with matching salad tongs. Both of these pieces have a gold wash on the tines or bowl. The set is monogrammed with "ML " at the end of the handle. Strasbourg is one of Gorham's most popular patterns and was introduced in 1897. This salad set has the OLD Gorham Lion/Anchor/G mark, as well as "STERLING" and "Pat 1897".

The Serving Spoon is 8-3/4 inches in length, and the bowl is 3-3/4 X 2 -7/8 inches. The Serving Fork is 8-1/2 inches in length and tines are 2-3/4 inches wide. The total weight of both is 4.6 Troy oz. The set is in very good condition with a little wear to the gold wash on both pieces. Please see the detail photos below.
