This diminutive individual sterling silver salt spoon measures only 2-3/8" long, and is marked "Kirk & Son Sterling" on the reverse. Salt spoons are the smallest pieces of silverware in any set. The detail of the pattern has to be as good on these tiny sterling pieces as on the full size flatware. The Repousse pattern was introduced in 1828, a very ornate pattern which has continued to remain popular. This one is in excellent condition with no monograms.
