Bailey, Banks, & Biddle Aesthetic Movement Bright Cut Sterling Silver Serving Spoon

This is a beautiful Bright Cut Serving Spoon by Bailey, Banks & Biddle. The handle has deeply hand cut foliate engraving with bright cut leaves. The bowl is decorated with a poppy and another multi-petaled flower. This spoon is 9" in length by 2 3/4" wide and weights 2.25 troy oz. It is a great serving spoon with beautiful proportions. Bailey, Banks and Biddle sold wonderful silver George W. Banks and Samuel Biddle joined forces with Joseph T. Bailey II in 1878 and formed Bailey Banks and Biddle. The name was changed to Bailey, Banks and Biddle Co. when the company incorporated in 1894. Makers and retailers of quality sterling flatware, holloware, jewelry and novelty items.
