Matched Pair of Hanau Oval Silver Boxes depicting King George

These are a Lovely Matched Pair of Hanau Oval Silver Boxes depicting King George. A pair that have stayed so long together is a rare find. The silver is 800. They each have a repousse image of King Gorge in the top and scenery that cascades around the base. Both Hinges are in excellent condition and the fit is good. One is a little heavier weighing in at 2.5 troy oz, the other is 2.25 troy oz. If you look closely at the faces one of them is wore worn in the hairline. The one with more wear weights 2.25 troy oz. and has the complete set of marks, the other is heavier and has 2 of the 3 marks. These marks according to 925-1000 the online encyclopedia of silver marks. Is an unattributed Pseudo Marks on Hanau Style Silver.
