Gorham Sterling Silver Candy Dish with Repousse Scrolls and Roses, 1906

This is a lovely Sterling Silver Candy Dish, made by Gorham Silversmiths in 1906. It features an intricate array of repousse rose blooms, buds, and leaves as well as scrolls reaching from the edges of the piece down into the bowl.

This dish is 5 1/2" wide, 6" tall, and 1 1/4" deep. It weighs 65 grams (just about 2 troy ounces). Its maker's mark is from 1906 and its pattern number is A5628. It does have some wear holes on several of the rose blooms (see photographs), but they do not detract from the beauty of this piece.
