Amberina Venetian Diamond or Inverted Thump Print Vase
This is a beautiful vase in the two tone coloring referred to as "Amberina".
The blended coloring is achieved by reheating the glass - the yellow or amber colored glass contains minute particles of gold and with second heating it becomes this rich ruby red color. It was made by the Mt. Washington or the New England Glass Company, circa 1880's. It has the Venetian Diamond pattern or sometimes called the Inverted Thump Print, (as the pattern originates on the inside). It is 5 1/4" tall x 2 1/2" wide at it's widest point.
