A vibrant ruby red, Art Deco two color Cameo Glass Vase by Delatte, circa 1930. This tall vase displays a distinct angular pattern of triangular shapes with some hints of organic forms later to be explored in the Art Deco period. The vase is acid cut, with two vibrant tones of red; the light red glass has a matte finish, while the other final layer of glass- the ruby red tone- has been fire polished to have a shiny finish. The vase reveals it's hand made qualities in the various textures that have occurred during this acid etching process. It's details, such as the circles on the neck of the vase protrudes to reveal the original depth of the glass piece. The vase has a long neck of ten inches in height and a bulbous base that is 3.5 inches wide. It is signed by the artist, Dellate, Nancy at bulbous lower part of the vase.
