Huge Pair of Antique French Gilt Bronze Pricket Candlestick Lamps

This magnificent pair of pricket lamps are genuine French antiques which date to the EARLY 1800's. Each is an exquisite example made with altar candlesticks from a church in the south of France in elegant gilt bronze and decorated with a profusion of highly detailed palmetto leaves, fluted columnar supports, and triangular bases with medallions of Christ, the Virgin mother of God, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The feet are classically decorated with French Empire lion paws. We had these electrified and the shades custom made by the famous Millie Hampshire studios. Each measures 33 5/8" to the candleholder bases and 50" to the very top of the prickets; each triangular base side measures 10 1/2" from lion paw to lion paw. They will look fabulous in any French or Italian interior, for that Chateau or Villa atmosphere. They are in excellent condition.
