Set of 3 Poodle Pet Care Hardcover Books ~ Excellent Condition.
This set of 3 vintage books is perfect for any poodle lover!
Included in this set is "The New Complete Poodle," a hardcover book written by Lydia Hopkins. It is a 1969 copy in near perfect condition, and without tears, holes, or markings. It contains 384 pages and explains everything about the origin, history, characteristics and care of the poodle, including information on miniature, toy and standard poodles.
The second book is also a hardcover, a 1973 Fourth Printing, titled "Poodles in Particular." Written by Alice Lang Rogers, it contains 263 pages and includes the 'History, Care and Management of the Standard, Miniature and Toy Varieties for Home and Show.' It is also in near perfect condition and without rips, holes, or markings.
The third book is a hardcover, spiral-bound, oversized copy of "Clipping and Grooming Your Poodle." It was designed 'For all types and sizes of poodles including show clips and scissoring.' It is a 1972 Fourth Edition, Third Printing written by Pearl Stone. It is in excellent condition, but the hard plastic spine has cracks and chips (and without compromise of the book's stability).
All books contain a multitude of photographs and illustrations that are too numerous to count. The listed photos do not do justice to the beauty of the photographs in these books! There are minor cover rubs and age-related toning on all books, which is to be expected based on their age.
This is a superb reference group for any aspiring dog groomer or poodle breeder. Guaranteed to be an enjoyable and educational read.
