1960s Pearly Lucite & Aurora Borealis Eyeglasses ~ France

Purrrrrr! Talk about the cat's meow! This is an 'out of sight' pair of vintage eyeglasses!

Straight from the '60s, these eyeglasses are made of a pearly white lucite with sparkly, aurora borealis rhinestones and tiny, brass studs encrusted along the upper rim.

The rhinestones measure approx. 2 mm in size and the brass studs are about 1 mm. You can't help but think of Elton John when you look at them!

They measure 5 3/8" wide and each lens piece measures 1 5/8" high x 2.25" wide. The temple is 5 1/8" long with silvertone hinges and brass accents. They are marked "Frame France" and "J.888T" on the interior.

These eyeglasses come complete with their red leather eyeglass pouch, which shows stains and wear from use and storage over the years.

The eyeglasses are in superb condition, with very light wear from prior use. They appear to have one missing rhinestone and maybe 2 brass studs, but they aren't noticeable with all the 'activity' of this pair. Rest assured, these eyeglasses are fab, fab, fab!

An outrageous addition to any vintage clothing and accessory collection. Or simply change out the lenses (very light prescriptions, I can actually wear them as is), and put these 'far out' glasses to good use!
