1950/60s United Hatters ~ Cool Plaid Wool Unisex Fedora Hat ~ Excellent Condition.
This hat appears minimally worn and is labeled, "United Hatters, Cap, and Millinery Workers International Union," which was formed in 1934. This union later joined the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union in 1983.
Labeled as a size Small, this hat has a 20" head circumference with a 2.5" wide brim.
It is without damage and the structure of the hat is superb. It may have originally been intended for a man, but we think it has a unisex style and would look quite sporty on a woman.
Although the fabric is unmarked, we are confident this hat is made of wool. It has not been professionally cleaned since we didn't want to compromise its current condition.
Featuring red, blue and ivory, plaid colors, this is a really cool, vintage piece.
