Authentic 1920s Black Silk Flapper Heels in ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Condition! Museum quality and guaranteed authentic.
These shoes were lightly worn and are in fabulous condition for their age. They have leather soles and black silk uppers that are a little dusty but without damage -- no holes or tears in the silk.
They have rhinestone buttons that connect the straps to hold the feet snug in the shoes. There are numbers printed on the inside of the shoe but they don't appear to have a size listed.
From the tip of the toe to the heel, they measure 9" long. The heels are 2.25" high.
What a fantastic find for any collector and/or a marvelous display!
Please note that the book and the vintage shoe stretchers are not included in this sale. The book is being used as a visual aid only. According to "Fifty Shoes that Changed the World" (Design Museum, Conran Octopus Publishing, Ltd, 2009), Sophia Delza is seen "stepping out on stage in the Broadway show The Grand Street Follies of 1928." She is wearing a pair of similar heels...complete with rhinestone buttons and all!
Don't miss your opportunity to own a piece of Jazz Age history!
