1950/60s ~ Black Ceramic Comedy & Tragedy Wall Pottery

1950/60s ~ Black Ceramic Comedy and Tragedy Wall Pottery ~ Excellent Condition. This is very unusual pottery and a really striking theatrical set!

Circa 1950/60s, they are both marked with a blue symbol on the back (looks similar to the Russian sickle/hammer symbol) but I can't identify the maker.

They are made of ceramic ~ handpainted and fire-glazed black with wonderful accents of red, green and gold. The comedy mask measures 4" wide x 5" tall and the tragedy mask measures 3.5" wide x 5" tall.

This pottery set is in excellent condition without any cracks, damage or repair. Both pieces have holes on the upper back for hanging on the wall.

A unique find and an awesome set for those who truly appreciate theatre!
