1923 Little Black Sambo Book ~ Wee Book for Wee Folks.
This hardcover book was written by Helen Bannerman and published by Henry Altemus Company of Philadelphia.
This is a pocket-size edition - it is absolutely charming and difficult to find, especially in good condition. It contains 63 pages with 27 colored illustrations.
This book is approx. 4.5" wide x 5.5" high. It is in overall very good condition and is without writing on the interior.
The spine is sturdy and intact and most pages are in wonderful condition. There is foxing on some pages and a few small tears here and there. The front cover has lost the top left corner of its illustration and the inside end page is not attached (see pic ~ you can compare to the other end page that is intact).
This is an excellent find for any serious book collector.
