Classic Mahogany Ting Tang Bracket Clock

This is a very nice, elegant mahogany bracket clock. It stands 25" tall, 16" wide and 10" deep. This clock needs space around it, to show off it's classic proportions. The case is french polished mahogany with rich colour. It has very good quality gilded mounts which makes this a handsome clock comfortably viewed from all sides. The gilded side panels are backed with a burgundy satin. This has probably been changed a number of times in the lifetime of the clock, and could easily be changed again to match decor, if desired. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with engraved, black filled, Roman numerals, the outer ring is marked off with the minutes and Arabic numerals marking every five minutes. There are engraved fleur de lys between the main numerals. The centre section of the dial is textured brass and the spandrels and decoration in the arch are cast and gilded. The hands are blued steel in the fleur de lys style. The clock has eight day movement. It strikes a ting-tang on two cathedral gongs (two different pitches) on the 1/4, double ting-tang on the half hour, triple ting-tang on the 3/4 hour, and finally, on the hour, one striker is lifted clear and the movement strikes the hour on the deeper gong. If you are not comfortable in setting up a clock, we suggest using the help of a clockmaker.
