Made in Japan by Royal Sealy rectangular trinket potpourri violeteer dresser box

This beauty has copious gold gilding, and a Victorian scene painted on both sides, with an ornate handle on the lid. Due to the holes in the lid, it may have been designed as a potpourri or violeteer, but could certainly be used as a dresser or trinket box.

It measures 8.5" wide x 5.5" high, with the feet providing approximately a 7.5" base.

Still having the Royal Sealy China_Japan sticker, it likely dates to the 1950s, and is without cracks, chips, or other damage.

A great piece!
