German pate sur pate vase maiden and child

This is a nice example of pate sur pate work. This is a nicely shaped handled vase, having a pearlized background and mauve medallion. A woman is laying on her back, her head in the brush. She is holding her child in the air above her. There is exquisite detail and workmanship in this piece. The vase stands 5 3/4" tall and measures 4 3/4" wide, handle to handle. Faint traces of thin gold lines can be detected around the handles. This vase is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
