Victorian hand chased cupid footed compote tazza

This is a great hand chased footed compote or tazza. Outstanding detail of three cupids around a barrel of wine. Two of the cupids scold the third, who has a broken bottle of wine at his feet. The compote is heavy, with plating of what appears to be copper over brass or bronze. It has a substantial amount of wear to the plating and finish. I have chosen to leave this piece in the condition I found it. The next owner can leave it with this finish, or have it silverplated for a more elegant setting. Great workmanship and detail! It dates to the late 1800's, with no visible manufacturer's markings.
