Here is a great large example of early Moorcroft Florian ware. This vase measures about 11" tall, 5 3/4" width, and 17" circumference at the widest point. It features dark blue flowers on a lighter blue background. This vase (in different colors) is pictured in the Guide to Moorcroft Pottery by Paul Atterbury on page 41 in the revised edition. It is signed on the bottom McIntyre, with the incised initials WM. It dates between 1900-1902. It has fine crazing throughout, with minor roughness on some of the raised points as expected with early Florian ware pieces. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. A good opportunity to add a rare large example of Florian ware to any Moorcroft collection!
