Fischer Budapest ornate footed openwork pottery vase
Here is an attractive example of Fischer pottery made in Budapest Hungary. Although it appears black in my pictures, the background is actually a deep cobalt blue. It is decorated in shades of yellow, salmon pink, and gold. There are three elongated openwork areas, with three openwork handles. The vase rests on three scroll feet. It stands 8 1/4" tall, measures 5 3/4" wide, and has a 17" circumference at the widest point. It is unmarked, but the work of Fischer. There are a couple of condition issues. There is a chip at the top of the vase. One of the handles has also been reattached. A nice piece worthy of restoration!
