Wavecrest outstanding large floral decorated vase lamp
This is an incredible large example of Wavecrest art glass. The glass vase itself stands 12" tall, measures 6 1/2" wide, and has a 23 1/2" circumference! The decoration on the front of the piece includes red and yellow roses, small purple, blue, and white flowers, with green, gray, and brown leaves. More floral decoration is also on the backside of the piece. Thickly enameled gold scrolling extends over the body of the piece. I am not sure if this piece was originally produced as a lamp, or was an ormolu mounted vase later converted to a lamp. There is a section of metalwork fringe on the backside of the lamp that is missing. This piece is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
